How to set up parental controls on your phone

If you want to keep an eye on your child’s online activity, you may be interested in setting up parental controls. In this guide, find out what parental control software is and how to set it up on your phone.

What is parental control software?

Parental control software allows a parent to monitor and control their child’s online activity.

Each software is slightly different, but for the most part, you can:

  • Block apps or websites
  • Limit screen time
  • Monitor their calls and texts, as well as what they search for and which apps they use
  • Track their battery life

How does it work?

Usually, you install the parental control app on both your phone and your child’s phone. You can then use your device to configure, control and manage the software’s settings.

I found the service excellent. I topped up straight away using my debit card on the website and my old number was ported as promised within 24 hours. The signal seems fine to where I live. Thanks!

My experience has been far from negative and I’m very happy & impressed with how simple and good Asda Mobiles app, website & Call Centre is. Made one call to them and everything sorted, worked first time.

Switched to Asda Mobile after Virgin Mobile decided to scrap all Pay as You Go sims from January, 22. Surprisingly, the switch was smooth, brilliant customer service and coverage better than Virgin mobile.
