Advantages of Asda Mobile’s standard tariff

1. It’s cheaper

If money is one of your main concerns, then this will be the best option for you. Our standard pay as you go tariff allows you to keep your current phone, which means that you won’t have to pay for the cost of a new phone every month like with a normal phone contract.

Asda Mobile offers some of the most wallet-friendly pay as you go rates on the market. Our standard tariff costs just 8p per minute to any UK mobile or landline, 4p per text to any UK mobile number, and 5p per MB of data!

2. You can’t go over or under your allowance

Once it’s gone, it’s gone - and you can’t pay any more! On our standard tariff, you’re only given a certain allowance (as much as you’ve topped-up by) to use, which means you can’t go overboard once you’ve used up your balance. While some monthly contracts have capped allowances, most of them let you use up more than you should and surprise you with a massive bill at the end of the month. No one likes that.

Similarly, if you were to take out a monthly phone contract, you’d be paying the same amount every month no matter your usage - which means that you’d be paying for any unused minutes, texts, and data you have! On our standard tariff, you only use what you need.

3. It gives you more freedom

Using our pay as you go standard tariff means you’re not tied down - unlike monthly contracts, which are often 12 or 24 months long. That way, you’ve got more freedom to adapt your allowance to your usage. If you know you’ll be needing a little extra data one month, all you need to do is top-up more than usual.

If you’re on a phone contract, however, you’ll need to wait for it to end before you can change the amount of minutes, texts and data you get each month. And if you’re desperate to leave your contract before it expires, you’ll have to pay a termination fee to be able to do so. Don’t get tied down!
