How to get started with Asda SIM only

Flexibility is amongst one the many reasons why you should join the ASDA mobile network. There are no contracts involved, meaning you can join us on a SIM only basis that suits you. What’s more you can change your bundle amount every month depending on how much data, minutes and texts you might need. 

To start your journey with us, simply fill out the order form for your free SIM. Once you have received your SIM you can decide how you wish to experience your plan. 

When it comes to choosing a plan with Asda, you have three choices; Pay as You Go, 30-day bundles and recurring bundles. 


Pay as You Go 

If you would prefer to join a standard PAYG service, it’s easy! All you need to do is top-up your free SIM card. 

This service follows our standard tariffs; calls from 8p per minute, texts from 4p and data from as little as 5p per MB. Find out more about our standard pay as you go rates.


30-Day Bundles 

Our 30-day bundles are slightly different as they combine a set amount of call, texts and data into a great money saving bundle. We offer a variety of different priced bundles depending on how many calls, texts and data you need.

There are no limitations when it comes to how you want to utilise your Asda Mobile SIM - if you initially start using PAYG but would like to purchase a 30-day bundle, simply text your desired bundle number to 2732 (from the UK). 

If you purchase a 30-day bundle but haven’t used much of your allowance or have purchased a smaller bundle for your needs then don’t worry, you can change this! With no contract attached you can downgrade, upgrade, cancel or change your bundle accordingly, at any time. 


Recurring Top-Up

Whichever plan you decide to keep, whether it be standard PAYG or a bundle, you can set up a recurring top-to save the hassle of renewing regularly. There are a few top-up options for you to consider. 

  • Automatic recurring top-up: You can set this top-up on a particular date or every 30 days to match your bundle if applicable. Call 2732 from your Asda mobile to get this started.
  • Automatic recurring text top-up: You can set up an automatic top-up between £5-50 every 7,10,14 or 30 days. To do this, simply link a payment card to your account by calling 2732. Once complete, text ‘AUTOTOP#<amount>#<frequency>#<last4digits> to the same number. You’re then good to go!
  • Automatic low balance top-up: This allows you to set up a minimum credit value on your account. Once your credit has dropped below this value, you will automatically be topped up by your chosen value.
