Why Asda Mobile's PAYG rates won't be going up this summer

This summer, millions of people in the UK will see the cost of their monthly phone contracts increase, as a wide number of mobile networks announce new price hikes

According to the Mirror, thousands of mobile customers may soon be faced with bigger bills for the same service.

Which mobile networks are raising their prices this summer?

So far, the mobile providers who have announced price hikes are:

  • EE
  • Three
  • O2
  • Vodafone
  • Virgin Mobile

How much will prices increase by?

Many providers are increasing the monthly price of their mobile contracts, with Virgin Mobile increasing pay-monthly prices by 3.3%[1], EE increasing by 4.1% and O2 by 4.0%[2].

While Three haven’t yet released numbers on their price hike for monthly contracts, we do know that Three customers will now be charged £1.25 per minute for calls to European countries - an increase of more than 100%, according to the Guardian.
