Teenagers and Mobile Phones

There are plenty of arguments on whether teens should be allowed mobile phones. However, when 90% of teenagers now own a mobile phone it is nearly impossible to stop them from carrying them everywhere especially when parents do exactly the same.

So, we wanted to tell you the benefits of teens carrying and using mobile phones in their free time.

With apps like “Find my Phone” and “Share my Location” available on smartphones, Parents can keep an eye on their children and the phone easily should it be lost or left somewhere. This is done by simply logging on to the Windows Phone website.

When your little one becomes all grown up and is no longer interested in talking to adults, the use of text messaging can be a great way of getting your teen to open up about what is happening in their lives without feeling pressured.

Social media

We all know there are pros and cons to social media, but if your child is becoming an adult and is off to university Facebook and Twitter can be a great place to see what they are up to with their friends and find out about their life away from home.

Keeping up with technology

There are many businesses that rely on the use of tablets and mobile phones to run their business and technology is advancing quickly. With this is mind it makes sense for the next generation of professionals to get used to using these gadgets in a professional and responsible manner.

Provided that they are used in the manner that they are intended and teens follow their own school policy on the use of smartphones, we can only see benefits from allowing your teenager to keep their mobile phone on them.
