How do I access age restricted content?
We have 3 settings: strict, moderate and off so you can choose exactly what level of security you'd like:
Strict – This is the safe setting for the whole family. This setting filters the same 18-rated content in accordance with BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) guidelines, but also content that BBFC rate higher than 'PG' including unmoderated social networking sites, chat and dating sites. Our strict setting contains a feature called Google Safe Search. This means you'll now be even more protected. When using the Google search engine, this additional safety feature will prevent websites being returned in the search that relate to unsecure, adult content. The only way to remove this additional feature is to change from the Strict lock to either moderate or off.
Moderate – You have access to social networking sites but not 18-rated content in accordance with BBFC guidelines.
Off - With the “Off” setting you have access to 18-rated content.
All our SIMs have the moderate setting activated as we have customers who are under the age of 18.
To remove this block, you will need to provide proof of your age, call us on 2732 from your Asda Mobile or 0808 006 2732 from any other phone (free of charge) and provide your credit card details: or visit your local Asda store and show your driving licence or passport and they will call Asda Mobile to get the block removed for you.
Please note: the age-restricted content bar is only effective when devices are connected to our mobile network. If the device connects through Wi-Fi, unsuitable content may still be available.
